The Goodwood Revival is a three day festival held every September at The Goodwood Circuit, near Chichester, England. And we friggin’ LOVED it. Here’s our little pictorial review…

Utilising a virtually unchanged motor racing track previously used for the British Grand Prix, it celebrates the classic motoring period from 1948-1966.

A beautifully preserved time capsule of the glory days of racing, the entire ground and outbuildings, paddocks, etc are meticulously maintained with historic accuracy. Period typography, colours and detailing is all used to great effect to create a truly immersive vintage racing experience.

Goodwood Revival 2014 attracted an international crowd of 150 000 visitors, with virtually all attendees appearing in vintage period costume. If you love proper vintage styling, you’ll go nuts for this show. And if you like WW2 airplanes, OMG. THIS WAS AMAZING.

HOUNDWORTHY exhibited for the first time this year and our fab pop-up shop in the Over The Road section proved popular. Our superb selection of curated dog toys and stylish dog jackets wowed the very well put together crowd.

Our unique blend of heritage brands and high quality canine accessories was a perfect fit for the happy hordes of shoppers, and we met loads of wonderful dog owners who were both surprised but pleased there was a store (THIS ONE!) at the event that catered for them. And as at other events, we met many of our regular Instagram followers who stopped by just to say hi. Awesome.

HOUNDWORTHY will be back next year (September 11-13, 2015). Same stall near the Doom Bar tent. It sold out last year so if you’re going to do it, get those tickets early. Oh and if you want to see more pics from the event, there are more on our Instagram.

Team HOUNDWORTHY suited up and packed the van for yet another successful trip to London last week, bringing our best wares to exhibit at the annual Spirit Of Summer fair held at London Olympia. Smaller than the winter edition (Spirit Of Christmas), this show attracts a decidedly well-heeled crowd for three days of relaxing retail therapy.

If you’ve never visited this fantastic Victorian building, you really should. The immense curved steel & glass ceiling overhead lets in a huge amount of light and it’s the little architectural details of the space that makes it a standout venue for lifestyle shows.

Claiming “HOUNDWORTHY wows at Spirit Of Summer” is probably a bit of an understatement. Our pop-up was once again one of the most popular stands in the hall!

Coming to the end of dog coat season we chose to show only two of our great range of Billy Wolf dog jackets, but they still garnered loads of attention.

And our indie magazines were also popular. You can browse Doghouse, Cereal and Another Escape here.

We even enjoyed some serious celebrity spotting when both Johnny Depp and Richard E. Grant casually strolled by our temporary hound emporium. Alas, neither was actually brave enough to attempt shouldering through the throngs of mostly female shoppers filling our tiny stall, but we can say with full confidence that we definitely made confirmed eye-contact, getting “the nod” as it were. Hey, when Captain Jack Sparrow and Withnail notice you, you must be doing something right! Right?!!

Customers loved these beautiful dip-dyed cotton rope dog leashes from Grey Paw, our own exclusive Nelson range of British Naval Rope dog leads, and the UK’s best selection of awesome floating dog toys. Gorgeous luxury dog beds from Cloud 7 where also a major hit, alongside our exclusive own-label rare breed sheepskin dog beds.

Hounds of London clearly don’t slum it! We had a wonderful show and it was a joy to meet so many of our fans who had made the effort to drop in and say hello; many having discovered us via Instagram. Gotta love it when you see social media connections translate into real people connections. Love it. Add Spirit Of Summer to your calendar for next year. We’ll be there.
